As part of the ‘job shadowing’ program organized by Misk Foundation
Riyadh, July 12, 2021: As part of its corporate social responsibility programs, the Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), a Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) company, hosted a group of high school students of the ‘job shadowing’ program organized by the Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz (Misk Foundation), during the month of July. AEC is a participant in the program, which aims to equip high school students with professional skills and competencies to help them prepare early for the local labor market.
The students’ visit to AEC included a field tour during which they learned about the company’s operations and production paths across system design, development, manufacture, and maintenance and repair. The students familiarized themselves with advanced products in various sectors including defense and aerospace, communications and IT, energy, and security. They also met with a number of administrative and engineering teams concerned with research and development and attended sessions involving role descriptions of design, implementation, and quality engineers as well as other production and distribution line technicians.
Eng. Ziad Al-Musallam, CEO of the Advanced Electronics Company, expressed AEC’s pride in cooperating with the Misk Foundation to develop capacities of the youth, enhance their talents, and raise their awareness of the various educational and professional options available to them.
Eng. Al-Musallam explained, “AEC has more than three decades of experience and knowledge, which has helped us emerge as a leading organization in Saudi Arabia in the field of modern electronics with remarkable manufacturing capabilities and outstanding repair and maintenance services. For his part, Eng. Abdullah Al-Gadi, Executive Vice President of Shared Services and Corporate Affairs at AEC, welcomed the visiting students and stated, “AEC’s participation in the job shadowing program comes as part of the joint efforts between the company and Misk Foundation to guide the Saudi youth towards their ambitions and educate them about their future careers options. The initiative also aims to bridge the gap between the educational outputs and the requirements of the labor market and present a clear vision to the students about their future.”
Eng. Abdullah Al-Gadi added, “During the students’ visit to Advanced Electronic Company’s facilities, we were keen to enrich their knowledge and increase their experiences regarding the growth of the local economy besides acquainting them with the professional and personal values needed to join AEC’s workforce. We also explained to them the challenges to expect in case they decided to work in the electronics, digital technology, or engineering industries in the future and encouraged them to explore the skills and competencies required to work for the major industrial corporations of the Kingdom in general.”

Riyadh, March 21, 2021: The Board of Directors of the Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), a Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) company, announced the appointment of Eng. Ziad bin Houmod Al-Musallam as CEO managing the company's business effective March 18, 2021, to succeed H.E. Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, who was appointed, by a royal decree, as Head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation with the rank of a minister.
Eng. Walid Abukhaled, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), said: "I congratulate Eng. Ziad Al-Musallam for assuming the CEO's duties, and praise his extensive expertise, many achievements, and long career, most of which he spent with AEC. I wish Eng. Eng. Al-Musallam has held the position of Executive Vice President of Engineering & Operations since 2017, and previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering and Development of the company between 2014 and 2017, where he was responsible for managing the company's technical and engineering operations through the Engineering and Development Department. He also held the position of Senior Vice President and acting General Manager of the Energy Business Unit between 2015 and 2017, wherein he supervised the study and approval of industrial products in the energy sector. He joined the company's Operations Department as a test engineer in in 1991. Eng. Al-Musallam began his career in 1988, working as a design engineer at the National Information Center at the Ministry of Interior.
Eng. Al-Musallam has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has attended management programs from INSEAD as well as several other technical and management courses.

Riyadh, 10 March 2021: The Advanced Electronics Company (AEC), a Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) company, announced its sponsorship of the College of Computer and Information Sciences’ graduation project ceremony and exhibition at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University. The event's sponsorship, held at the college's headquarters in Riyadh, reflects AEC's efforts to support the academic sector in the Kingdom and develop national talents in technical fields.
AEC Executive Vice President of Shared Services and Corporate Affairs Eng. Abdullah Al-Gadi expressed his pride in sponsoring the event, stating that it reflects the company's great interest in the educational journey and its commitment to facilitating knowledge and refining the skills of the nation's youth. The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran and speeches by the Dean of the College, the Vice-Rector of Educational Affairs, and supporting companies' representatives. Attendees reviewed the exhibition's various sections and specializations, and the supporting companies recognized the graduation projects, the organizers of the exhibition and competitions, and the members of the competition jury. The winning graduation projects for the undergraduate stage and the graduation projects in participation with other colleges for the undergraduate stage were recognized. Students participating in the design of the graduation projects brochure and the NEOM competition were also recognized.
