Riyadh, March 4, 2022: Advanced Electronics Company, a Saudi Arabian Military Industries "SAMI" company, launched its new brand identity and motto, "Three Decades of Excellence towards a Promising Future," to be premiered at the World Defense Exhibition 2022. The rebranding aims to enhance the company's leading position in the development of defense and aerospace ecosystems, technical systems, information security and energy, and the localization of defense products, solutions, and systems, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Eng. Ziad Al Musallam, CEO of Advanced Electronics, said: "The company's focus is on developing advanced products, solutions, and services and honoring its thirty years track record. The Advanced Electronics Company has created a platform for expertise that seeks to localize technologies and build capabilities during the past period. The new identity reflects the company's future vision, unifying efforts and aligning goals to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and implement the ambitious leadership aspirations by SAMI to become one of the 25 largest defense industries companies in the world by 2030.
Established in 1988 and headquartered in Riyadh, AEC is a leader in the electronics, technology, and manufacturing industries. The company designs, develops, manufactures, maintains, and repairs advanced systems and products in the defense and aerospace, information and communications technology, security, and energy sectors. It employs more than 2,200 employees, 85 percent of whom are Saudis, who include over 800 highly skilled and certified male and female engineers.
In 2020, SAMI, a national entity wholly owned by Public Investment Fund (PIF) acquired Advanced Electronics, in what was the largest deal of its kind in Saudi Arabia's military industry’s sector, thus becoming a 100% Saudi company.
